Gustaw Bafeltowski (aged 16) is a graduale of Stanislaw Moniuszko Music School in Warsaw, in the cello class of Ms Danuta Stradowska. Presently, he is a student of the Zenon Brzewski Secondary Music School, in the class of Mr Marcin Zdunik.
He has won awards in a number of competitions, home as well as abroad, among others: the International String Instruments Competition “Talents for Europe” in Dolny Kubin, the Kazimierz Wiłkomirski International Youth Cello Competition in Poznań. He has taken part in master courses run by outstanding professors from all around the world, such as: Julius Berger, Kazimierz Michalik, Danjulo Ishizaka, Denis Severin, Tomasz Strahl, Jacob Shaw, Stanisław Firlej, Alexander Neustroev, Laurence Lesser, Jesus Castro – Balbi, Na Mula and Kirill Rodin.
So far, he has cooperated with orchestras such as: The Orchestra of the Foundation for Early Music, under Paweł Osuchowski, The Slovak Sinfonietta Zilina State Chamber Orchestra under Serhiy Khorovets, and the Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra „AMADEUS” under Anna Duczmal – Mróz,
He has participated in many concerts, in Poland as well as abroad, e. g. in the concert hall of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, in the Ball Hall of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, in the seat of Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra in Warsaw, in the Auditorium Maximum of the Warsaw University, in the Concert Hall of the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk, in the President’s Palace, in the Concert Hall of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing as well as in the Concert Hall of the Forbidden City (Beijing).
Gustaw has been granted grants by: the National Fund for Children, the Foundation of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, the Swiss Foundation Kunst ohne Grenze.
